Our Pizza Shack will be fired up on match days, serving freshly made, hand-stretched pizzas piled high with tempting toppings. Perfect for sharing with your mates, grabbing before the match or tucking into while watching the rugby in the garden.

Do I need to book for the Autumn Nations?

We strongly recommend it. Rugby days in Twickenham are some of our biggest of the year and tables get snapped up quicker than you can say “another round?”

Can I book a table to watch the rugby?

You sure can. We’ll be showing the Autumn Nations action across our screens and big projector, so book ahead to bag yourself a spot for all the tackles, tries and edge-of-your-seat moments.

For England home games we also offer a premium pre-match dining to enjoy before heading down to the stadium.

Can I book for pre-match dining?

Absolutely. On England home match days at Allianz Stadium, we’ll have a special premium dining menu for those looking to properly fuel up before kick-off. Booking ahead is essential.

Are large rugby groups welcome?

Of course. The more rugby shirts, the merrier. If you’re bringing a bigger group, get in touch with our team ahead of time and we’ll help find the best option for your match-day plans.

How far are you from Allianz Stadium?

We’re in the heart of Twickenham and just a short walk from Allianz Stadium, making us a top spot for pre-match food, a pint (or two) and plenty of rugby atmosphere before kick-off.

Do you have parking at the pub?

We have limited parking available on a first come, first served basis, but Twickenham gets exceptionally busy on rugby days. We recommend hopping on public transport where possible and checking local match-day parking restrictions if you’re driving.

How do I get to The Alexander Pope?

We’re on Cross Deep in Twickenham, within walking distance of Twickenham town centre and the station. On England match days, simply follow the sea of rugby shirts heading towards Allianz Stadium.

Can we come to the pub before walking to Allianz Stadium?

Absolutely. That’s what match days at The Alex are all about. Book in for our premium pre-match dining menu or join us for Pizza Shack slices, BBQ burgers and drinks before making your way to the stadium for England home games.
